Village Lymphatic Healing was inspired by the belief that healing is supported through care, connection, and community. It takes a village- encouragement, knowledge and compassion- to nurture wellness, and I'm honoured to be part of that journey with each client

Wellness FAQ

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialized therapy that supports the natural function of your lymphatic system. By encouraging the flow of lymph—a vital fluid that helps remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the body—MLD can reduce swelling and support your body’s healing and recovery.

What Conditions can be treated with Manual Lymph Drainage?

MLD may help with Lymphedema, Lipedema, Post surgical swelling and recovery, injury related swelling, sinus congestion, scar tissue/fibrosis, general fluid retention and puffiness- to name a few!

Is the session painful?

No. The technique is very gentle and non-invasive. You may feel a light sensation or a sense of warmth as the lymphatic system activates, but it is generally a relaxing experience.

How often should I book?

It depends! Treatment frequency varies based on your individual needs and goals.

For pre/post- surgical recovery, many clients benefit from 1-2 treatments before surgery, then 2-3 treatments per week after surgery (with surgeon approval), tapering as swelling and healing improves.

For conditions like lymphedema or lipedema, treatment may begin more frequently and transition into a maintenance schedule.

Feel free to get in touch to discuss your specific case and determine the best treatment approach for you.
